More Ways to Give Involved

The Loose Change initiative goes beyond Spread The Warmth. Here are some other highlights:

  • Water Well in Jigawa, Nigeria: All of Tiesta Tea’s hibiscus comes directly from farm villages in Nigeria. The Tiesta team traveled to one of those villages and built a water well giving everyone in the community access to healthy, clean water. Prior to this well, women and children were spending up to five hours every day collecting water for cooking, cleaning, drinking – you name it.
  • ExtraSpecialTeasEST is another nonprofit partner of Loose Change. Located in Massachusetts, it is a tea house employing adults with autism and other special needs. Tiesta Tea helps source their tea as well as donating from monthly online tea sales.
  • Loose Change: Each time an order is placed from the online tea shop, the change to the right of the decimal (aka loose change) will be donated to one of the nonprofit partners.
